For my core course for uni I managed to snag the absolute honour of collaborating with local Sydney photographer Mayu Kanamori. We're designing multimedia installations to coincide with her project, "Very Personal Public Apology." (VPPA) It's been pretty hectic, but sweet. Challenges are sweet for the most part, I think. Fun should be had by all. Anyhow, I was assigned as marketing co-ordinator, and whipped up a poster for the night:

Mash cinema was mad fun. Dope. Super rad. Gnarly. Not a huge turn up, but heartwarming nonetheless. A huge word up to the artists that we showcased on the night: Pogo, Soda_Jerk and Peter Tscherkassky. Check out their material, it's mind blowing. Also word up to the people that showed up, helped (Maija, Jodi, Michelle, Mark, Su!) and my associates in crime for the event, Zabs and Padso. The 16mm was brilliant.

For those who don't know “Found footage, compilation, collage or ‘archival’ cinema is a broad filmmaking practice encompassing the use of file footage in documentary cinema, stock footage in fictional cinema, home-movie footage in some feminist cinema and the often radical recontextualisation of a vast array of images and sounds in examples of avant-garde cinema.” (Danks 2006)

Chipping away at the portfolio. I think everything's going okay. I had this incident with typography for an hour or so, but things might be shaping up. I was tossing up between Helvetica, Coolvetica or Cooper Std. But Coolvetica somehow won for the main page. Here's what the main looks like now, just imagine lots of super crazy animation going all over the place:
